CHICAGO, September 16, 2004 – Smurfit-Stone Container Corporation has been named as one of America’s safest companies, according to Occupational Hazards, the leading magazine of safety, health and loss prevention.
For the past three years, Smurfit-Stone has led the pulp and paper industry in safety, based on annual statistics compiled by the American Forest & Paper Association, the industry’s largest trade association.
