Smurfit-Stone Names Bob Lynch General Manager of Florence Containerboard Mill
CHICAGO, March 22, 1999 Smurfit-Stone Container Corporation (Nasdaq: SSCC) has named Bob Lynch general manager of the company's Florence, SC, containerboard mill. He takes over for Cecil Hamilton, who retired after 48 years of service, 35 at the Florence mill.
Lynch joined the company in 1970 and has worked in a variety of technical and production positions at facilities in Port Wentworth, GA, and Coshocton, OH. Most recently, he was general manager of the company's Coshocton, OH, containerboard mill, a position he held since February 1996
A native of Savannah, GA, Lynch earned his BS, chemical engineering, from Auburn University.
