Operation: Cases are presented to machine via customer supplied conveyor. A short driven infeed belt conveys the case to a vertical infeed timing gate (1052). The case is indexed into flight bars. As the case progresses through the machine, the bottom major flaps are plowed open to clear the low-profile glue applicator. Hot melt adhesive is applied to the top minor and bottom major flaps. The top and bottom major flaps are plowed closed and the case moves through the compression section and is sealed.

Operation Speed:

1052: 20 to 50 cases per minute, depending upon case length and flight bar speed.

1054: Operator paced.
